How L’Voyage matches jet to journey Every trip starts with a clear brief. Are you attending meetings, relocating a family, or flying for recovery or leisure? We align aircraft features with traveller needs.

We factor in where the aircraft is based, how much luggage is onboard, and the cabin configuration. For instance, some jets may lack space for oversized bags, pets, or medical equipment.

Other important considerations include:

Inflight Wi-Fi and tech needs

Bed setup for overnight or long-haul flights

Cabin crew and catering requirements

Pet-friendly cabins

Jet Types Explained: Which Private Aircraft Is Right for Your Journey?

Choosing the right private jet isn’t about status. It’s about suitability. Whether you’re flying short haul for business or planning a multi-stop itinerary across Asia, selecting the correct aircraft is key to a seamless experience.

In this guide, we walk through the most common jet types and how to identify the right one for your trip from Hong Kong or within the region.

Why aircraft selection matters Each category offers trade-offs—range, passenger capacity, cabin space, and even airport access. For example, a quick hop from Hong Kong to Bangkok might only require a light jet. But a transcontinental trip with multiple passengers and luggage calls for a heavy jet with onboard amenities.

Sample pairings

Day trip to Singapore: Light Jet

Holiday to the Maldives: Super Midsize or Heavy Jet

Wellness escape to Bhutan: VLJ or Turboprop (for short runway access)

Investor roadshow with multiple stops: Midsize Jet with reliable connectivity

Conclusion Private aviation is most efficient when the aircraft fits the mission. With L’Voyage, you never have to guess. We help clients avoid paying for unnecessary features—or compromising due to under-spec planning.

If you’re considering a new destination or refining your travel programme, we’ll guide you through the jet matching process and provide expert recommendations every step of the way.
